Somewhere in February it hit me that I have been travelling and competing non stop since 2014.
And maybe that is the reason why I’ve been constantly tired.
So I’ve decided to slow down a bit.

Even though I’m super happy with all my results, winning double world titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Last season I just felt like I was only scrambling from one competition to the next and I lost the fun of simply windsurfing. Performing in three disciplines is super challenging.
My main goal has been wave sailing for some years now, but I feel like I’m not improving as much as I could, because my time and energy is divided across 3 disciplines.
So for this year I have decided to take a break from that and focus on the things I really want to do.

I love slalom, but this is the one discipline I think I’ll be able to do for the longest.
However waves and freestyle will not last as long and I desperately want to improve in both.
At the moment those two give me the biggest adrenaline rush.
So, that’s what I’ll do this year!
